Michael Jackson’s “Bad 25”’s Previously Unreleased Tracks Receive Applause

Released on this date in 2012, Bad 25 commemorates the 25th anniversary of the original album with a 2 CD set, DVD, and vinyl and collector editions. Entertainment Weekly gave the set an A and its critic Ray Rahman was particularly drawn to the previously unreleased tracks writing that, “numbers like rhythmic earworm ‘Don’t Be Messin’ Around’ and tender ‘I’m So Blue’ shine, while ‘Al Capone’ an early sketch for ‘Smooth Criminal,’ is strong enough to stand alone as its own single”.
